The Douglasville Police Department invites everyone to fellowship together while discussing topics impacting our community. Discussions are held on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month. (No 4th Thursday meetings in November or December, nor on holidays). We speak on local issues and work together as one for the benefit of the community. Come out to our Parks Community Vision Board Meeting to discuss the current and upcoming programs and events we offer.

This is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and opinions for future and upcoming events and programs.

We will be discussing programs, events, and athletic opportunities for all groups and special populations.

Choose your focus group during the meeting, discuss any ideas nd share your thoughts with us.

Prizes and giveaways will be provided for your input.

We will also have a Kids Corner for your child to participate in crafts + activities during the meeting.

Intro to Sewing – Kids @ Cultural Arts Center

Take a dive into the world of hand sewing. There’s more to sewing than making clothes. From threading a needle to measuring the seam allowance of a garment, you will gain knowledge used for a variety of sewing projects.

Cost- $40 (CAC member $35) plus a $10 supply fee.

We will have community leaders discussing various topics.
Please join us for an informative discussion that includes communication and relationship building.

Most people do yoga for flexibility. Did you know it also supports stress management, mental health, mindfulness, healthy eating, and quality sleep? We invite you, yes the public, our community, to grab a mat and come join us. On nice days we will have yoga on our lawn, and on cold or wet days we will have it in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room next to the main building. This is a FREE class once a month on a scheduled Wednesday evening that begins at 5:30 pm and lasts about an hour. Black History Month Exhibit - Opening Reception @ Cultural Arts Center | Douglasville | Georgia | United States

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/ Douglas County (CAC) welcomes 2023 with a collection to inspire the Nations. The exhibit “Descendants Ascending” is displayed in honor of Black History Month, on display from January 9 through February 17, weekdays 9 am – 5 pm. Everyone from near and far is invited to the opening reception on Saturday, January 28, from 5-7 pm, hosted by Douglas County Connection.

On the evening of Saturday, January 28, from 5-7 pm, the gallery will be open for the memorable reception, provided generously by DC Connection. The DC Connection was founded by Helen Catron in 1990. During the past 24 years, the DC Connection has established, supported, and sponsored community events that enrich the cultural experience in the Arts, particularly as it relates to African American culture and history.
